AIHM Chapter and Retreat

Every year the members of the Augustinians of the Immaculate Heart of Mary gather in late August for ourAnnual Chapter and Retreat. It is a time of prayer, reflection, and fellowship with our sister and brother Augustinians and our friends. Postulants are received into the novitiate at first Vespers of Our Holy Father, St. Augustine. At the Holy Eucharist of the Feast of Our Holy Father, St. Augustine, novices of the Order make their first profession of vows and professed members renew their vows. In recognition that God calls us to constant conversion and to freely respond to God's Grace in our lives, professed members of the AIHM renew their vows every year.

Every six years we gather for General Chapter. During this time we elect our Prior General, our General Council, and vote on proposed changes to our Constitutions, which will govern the life of the Order until the next General Chapter. This time is marked by prayer, thoughtful discussion, and joyful community.
